Who will mow for you this year? Finding a worker who will push a mower for hours on a slope is getting harder — and even when you find one, the job is physically demanding and carries risks. A tractor can do a lot, but not everywhere: between orchard rows, along channels, on steeper parts of the parcel. That is why more owners of large parcels, municipal companies and vineyard operators are switching to remote‑control tracked mowers. We visited a factory in China where these machines are made and recorded how they really work.
Who are these mowers made for
Remote‑control tracked mowers were created from a very concrete need: to have someone else "take the risk" instead of workers who would otherwise have to walk on steep, slippery or overgrown terrain.
Most commonly requested by:
- municipal companies maintaining embankments, channels and banks
- road maintenance companies mowing along highways
- large orchards, vineyards and plantations
- solar farms and industrial zones with lots of green areas
- private companies offering mowing and mulching services on demand
For these users, the most important thing is not that the machine is "the cheapest on the market", but that it can work on slopes, handle rougher conditions, and be relatively simple to maintain.
Mulcher vs mower — what is the difference and why does it matter?
At first glance they look similar — both machines maintain vegetation, both can be tracked and remote‑control. The difference is what they do with grass and shrubs after passing through.
A mower cuts and leaves. Grass stays on the surface, you need to collect it or let it dry. On thick shrubs and high vegetation, a mower often gets stuck — blades get clogged, the machine stops, the operator clears and starts again.
A mulcher breaks down and returns to soil. Stalks, roots, shrubs — everything is ground into small pieces that stay as mulch. No collection, no downtime, no leftovers. On overgrown parcels, channels and steep terrain, this is the only solution that works without constant supervision.
When to use a mower, and when a mulcher? If you maintain a neat grass surface — orchard, vineyard, meadow that is mowed regularly — a mower is enough. If you have an abandoned parcel, a channel overgrown with shrubs, or terrain mowed only a few times per year — a mulcher saves time and hassle. We offer both types, tracked and remote‑control, for terrain where a tractor or manual mower cannot reach.
We entered the factory and recorded everything — from assembly to test run
Factory tour for mowers – production footage
The video shows what many customers never have the chance to see: halls full of completed and unfinished mowers, workstations, track and platform parts, as well as finished machines waiting for delivery. Josip showed on site what types of mowers are produced and who they are for.
The factory we visited, besides tractors and agricultural machines, has a branch specialised in remote‑control tracked mowers, electric models and larger machines with an operator platform. In production we saw several series:
- compact tracked mowers for mowing around 520–550 mm width
- wider professional models of 800 mm and 1000 mm for tougher tasks
- electric tracked mowers for work without exhaust gases
- special platforms for extreme slopes and zero‑turn mowers
You can view the complete overview of all models with specifications in our
catalogue of remote‑control mowers and mulchersMachines were distributed across production phases – from bare frame and tracks, through engine assembly, to final inspection and test run. That is exactly where we come into the story: we do not just look at how the machine looks from outside, but how it is actually assembled and how it works in practice.
Demonstration of mower operation on site
Demonstration of mower operation outdoors in real conditions
After touring the hall, we went outside to see how the mowers behave in practice. The hosts accommodated us and demonstrated the mower operation. The remote‑control tracked mower moved smoothly over grass without slipping, with stable direction holding. You need to get a bit used to remote controls.
In the video, Josip shows how the mower responds to controls, how precisely it can go straight, and how it behaves when it hits thicker grass. We also saw larger models in operation – machines intended for companies maintaining kilometres of embankments or large areas around roads and industrial zones.
What we inspect on mowers before shipping to the client
As with tractors, when buying mowers in bulk, our job is not just to "see that the machine is there", but to perform a practical pre‑shipment inspection – mower inspection before shipping to your country. In practice, this includes:
- visual inspection of frame, tracks, protective covers and housing
- check of cables, hoses, connectors and remote control
- check of engine or battery system (depending on model)
- operation test – starting the machine, throttle response, braking and steering
- check of equipment agreed in the specification (blades, safety systems, chargers)
If we notice a problem, we do not wait for it to appear at the customer. We ask for the fault or deficiency to be resolved immediately, in the factory. Every intervention after the mower arrives in your country is many times more expensive and more complicated than correction on site.
Which mower models we can provide
In cooperation with this and several other factories in China, we can organise procurement of different types of mowers:
- remote‑control tracked mowers with mowing width 520–1200 mm
- electric tracked mowers for work without exhaust gases
- ride‑on battery mowers for larger maintained areas
- hydraulic platforms for extreme slopes and mulching head operation
- zero‑turn tractor mowers for fast mowing of large flat areas
We work on every project according to the client's request – we choose mowing width, engine type, control method, additional equipment and budget. Our goal is not to "push through" one model for everyone, but to find a machine that makes sense for your situation in terms of both performance and price.
Planning to buy a remote‑control mower or other professional mowers from China? We help you with model selection, factory check, quality control and transport organisation to your country.
Send mower inquiry →How we can do the same job for you
If you are thinking about buying a professional mower from China – whether it is one tracked mower for your company or a larger number of machines for resale – you do not have to do everything yourself. We have already gone the path from catalogue, through the factory, to field testing.
We can help you to:
- choose the right type and mower model for your terrain
- find a reliable manufacturer in China
- organise inspection and testing of machines before shipping
- supervise the entire process – from order, through inspection, to transport
It is enough to send us basic information about the terrain (area, slope, photos), usage method and budget – and we will propose 1–2 most suitable solutions, check the factory and prepare a complete offer.
